These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PDFLike, available at https://pdflike.com/, including our online PDF and document tools.

By accessing or using PDFLike, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website or upload files to our tools.

1. Description of the service

PDFLike provides online tools for working with PDF and document files. These tools may include merging, splitting, compressing, converting, rotating, organizing, protecting, unlocking, watermarking, and adding page numbers to PDF files.

The service is provided through a web browser. You do not need to install software to use the main PDFLike tools.

2. Your use of PDFLike

You may use PDFLike only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to use PDFLike in a way that:

  • violates any applicable law or regulation;
  • infringes the rights of any person or organization;
  • uploads, processes, stores, or shares illegal, harmful, abusive, or unauthorized content;
  • uploads malware, viruses, harmful code, or files designed to damage or disrupt systems;
  • attempts to overload, disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the website;
  • attempts to access systems, files, accounts, or data without authorization;
  • uses automated tools in a way that harms performance or availability of the service.

3. Uploaded files

You are responsible for all files you upload to PDFLike. You should only upload files that you own, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to process.

You retain your rights to the files you upload. PDFLike does not claim ownership of your uploaded files.

By uploading files, you give PDFLike permission to process those files only as needed to provide the selected tool and generate the resulting file for download.

4. File deletion

Uploaded files and processed output files are automatically deleted from our servers after 30 minutes.

You are responsible for downloading your processed file before it is deleted. Once files are deleted, they may no longer be available for recovery or download.

5. File processing results

PDFLike aims to provide useful and accurate file processing tools, but we cannot guarantee that every file will be processed perfectly.

Results may vary depending on the original file structure, file quality, fonts, images, layout complexity, encryption, password protection, file size, file type, or technical limitations.

You should review downloaded files before relying on them for important, legal, financial, academic, professional, or official use.

6. Converting files

When using conversion tools, such as PDF to Word, PDF to JPG, Word to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF, Excel to PDF, or similar tools, formatting and layout may not always match the original file exactly.

Complex layouts, custom fonts, scanned images, tables, charts, layers, or embedded elements may affect the final result.

7. Unlock PDF tool

The Unlock PDF tool may be used only for files that you own or have permission to unlock.

Some protected PDF files may require the correct password before restrictions can be removed. You must not use PDFLike to bypass access controls on files that you are not authorized to open, modify, print, copy, or process.

You are fully responsible for how you use the Unlock PDF tool and for ensuring that your use is lawful.

8. Protect PDF tool

The Protect PDF tool allows you to add password protection to a PDF document.

You are responsible for choosing, storing, and remembering your password. If you forget the password, you may not be able to open or use the protected PDF later.

PDFLike is not responsible for lost passwords or for your inability to access a password-protected file.

9. No account requirement

The main PDFLike tools are designed to work without requiring user registration. If account-based features are added in the future, additional terms may apply.

10. Availability of the service

We try to keep PDFLike available and working properly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability of the website or any tool.

We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.

11. Security and misuse

You must not misuse PDFLike or attempt to interfere with the security, performance, or normal operation of the website.

We may block, limit, or restrict access if we believe that a user, IP address, device, request pattern, or activity may harm the service, violate these Terms, or create legal, security, or technical risks.

12. Intellectual property

PDFLike, including its website design, text, interface, branding, logos, features, and software components, is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of PDFLike except as allowed by law or with our permission.

You retain ownership of your uploaded files, subject to the rights and permissions you grant us to process them as described in these Terms.

13. Third-party services and links

PDFLike may use third-party services to operate, host, secure, analyze, or improve the website. The website may also contain links to third-party websites.

We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, content, policies, or practices. You use third-party services at your own risk.

14. Disclaimer of warranties

PDFLike is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the website, tools, availability, accuracy, security, performance, or suitability for a particular purpose.

We do not guarantee that files will be processed without errors, that formatting will always be preserved, that files will always be recoverable, or that the service will meet all of your requirements.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFLike will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of data, loss of files, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of opportunity arising from your use of the website or tools.

You are responsible for keeping original copies and backups of your files before uploading them to PDFLike.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold PDFLike harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your uploaded files, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights or laws.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we may update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of PDFLike after changes are posted means that you accept the updated Terms.
